Calivia Cook
An Android recipe app built around one unusual promise: your data stays on your phone.
The product
Calivia Cook collects, organises and cooks recipes. Import one from a link or pasted text, plan meals across the week, send the week to a shopping list, track what is in the pantry, and have cooking steps read aloud while your hands are busy.
The design position
- No accounts. Every feature works from first launch. Recipes, plans and lists live on the device, not on our servers.
- Honest AI. Import parsing, nutrition estimates and translation are AI-assisted and labelled as estimates, never presented as medical advice.
- Ads without hostage-taking. The app is ad-funded, but no advert ever interrupts cooking, and nothing already saved is ever locked behind one.
The engineering behind the promise
The privacy policy is written from the architecture: what leaves the device is enumerated feature by feature, and the app requests no microphone, no location, and no contacts permissions. The legal documents live on the company platform we also built, so the store listing, the in-app text and the web pages can never drift apart.
Status
Newly completed and preparing for its Google Play launch under Calivia Digital Solutions Ltd's organization account.
